Following Saturday’s fantastic scenes, when the AFC Rushden & Diamonds first team were presented with the UCL Premier Trophy by League representatives, the club have made the following arrangements for the final fixture of the season against Cogenhoe United on 25th April 2015.
The AFC R&D Community teams are holding their annual sponsored walk which finishes at the ground and will be arriving at the ground before kick off to join in with the celebrations.
The trophy will be on display on the patio area outside of Anne’s Pantry before the game for fans to be able to have their picture taken with it.
After the final whistle we anticipate that supporters may want to join the players on the pitch and celebrate the season, then once the players have made their way from the pitch and supporters have returned behind the pitch side perimeter fence, the players will return for a lap of honour with the trophy.
The first team will then line up on the 18 yard line in front of the Peter De Banke terrace and the Community, Academy and U21 teams will be invited to line up alongside them for a full club photograph. If supporters wish to be in the background of this photograph please ensure you are behind the pitch side barrier in the appropriate part of the Peter De Banke terrace (i.e behind the goal).
