Gresley FC v AFC Rushden & Diamonds – Saturday 3rd December

AFC Rushden & Diamonds will play their next game in the Northern Premier League First Division South on Saturday when they travel to South Derbyshire to face Gresley FC (KO 3pm). The Moatmen play at The Moat Ground, Moat Street, Church Gresley, Swadlincote DE11 9RE.

Google Map Directions to the ground for the trip of around 70 miles are here. Local directions are as follows:

Travel to A444 via A5, A38, A5121 or M42, head for Castle Gresley, at the island take A514 to Church Gresley, at the island at the top of the hill take the 2nd exit (Church Street) then the 2nd left (School Street) then the 1st left (Moat Street).

Gresley FC advise that the Moat Ground has a small car park adjacent to it but it does get filled up early on a match day but there is plenty of parking in the area. If you need to park near the ground for personal mobility reasons please contact them via the info@gresleyfc.com email and they will reserve a space, although these are limited so early contact is advised.

 The club is running a shared coach for this fixture – details are here. Public transport is not really an option to get to the ground. The Diamonds will wear their yellow and black strip for this fixture.

Admission prices are Adults £8, Over 60 yrs £5, Under 16 yrs £5, Under 13 yrs (accompanied by a full paying adult) £1. The Match Day Programme is £1.50.

The Moatmen are managed by Damion Beckford-Quailey assisted by Hannah Dingley, with the pair having been in charge at Thurnby Nirvana / Leicester Nirvana during their successful recent spell in the UCL – and several players have moved to Gresley from the Leicestershire club.
