Harborough Town v AFC Rushden & Diamonds

Details of admission, parking and catering will be added when provided by the host club.

Our Opponents

Harborough Town Football Club was formed as Harborough Town Juniors FC at the start of the 1975/1976 season and has been based in its own facilities at Northampton Road since the early 1990’s. The club became an FA Charter Standard Club in 2004 and recently achieved FA Charter Standard Community Club status. After starting in the Northants Combination they joined the UCL in 2009, and won promotion to the Premier league in 2012. Ex-Cobbler Chris Carruthers played for the club, as did Martin Johnson who became more famous for his exploits with the oval ball.

The Bees play in yellow shirts and black shorts, and are managed by Gordon Kyle and Rob Dunion.

Further details about the club can be found on their website here. Their Twitter feed is here.

So far this season Harborough Town have had a difficult time in the league and are currently one place off the foot of the table. Last season they finished 19th having won promotion from Division One the previous season. Their victory last weekend gives them a good chance of avoiding the drop, as they have a good chance of overtaking Long Buckby who have only one game left to play. Robbie Maddox is at Bowdens Park after having a short spell with the Diamonds at the start of this season.
