AFC Rushden & Diamonds will play the final game of their pre-season campaign on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Keys Park to face Hednesford Town. With many leagues and cup competitions getting underway this weekend it allows the Diamonds to face a fellow Northern Premier League side, with Hednesford being a Step 3 team playing in the top division.

Those Diamonds fans that followed R&DFC may remember previous trips to Keys Park – the last one being in August 2000, when the Diamonds won 3-2 with goals from Jackson, Darby and Burgess – report here.
