The Wellingborough-based International Waendel Walk Weekend is set to take place from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May 2016, featuring new and improved routes with choices from 5, 10, 15, 25 and 42km for walkers of all ages and abilities. All routes travel across fields, footpaths and roads, whilst visiting places of interest and local villages in and around Wellingborough.
For many years, going back to the RDFC days, there has been a presence of Diamonds fans at this event, and for 2016 Glenis Haynes is organising a Fundraising initiative for the club linked to the Walk. Would anyone interested in doing the Walk on either Saturday May 14th or Sunday May 15th to raise funds for the Club please contact Glenis as soon as possible (07870 332606). She advises that all the routes are very easy with stopping places along the way. The starting venue is The Castle, Wellingborough.
Glenis hopes to enter a group of people for the walk, and so looks forward to hearing from anyone who might be interested.
