AFC Rushden & Diamonds’ Jake Reynolds has transferred to fellow United Counties League Premier Division side AFC Kempston Rovers for the remainder of the season.
After impressing at Under 18 level, Jake made his first league appearance for Diamonds in November 2012, coming on as a subsitute in the 3-0 UCL Division 1 victory over Raunds Town at the Dog & Duck. 2013/14 has been an injury-hampered season for the young striker, although he has still been able to notch 5 goals for AFC R&D U21s and 5 for AFC R&D U18s.
Jake was, this weekend, offered the opportunity to move to The Walnut Boys to gain some valuable first team experience in their three remaining league fixtures – an opportunity which he has chosen to take advantage of.
Everyone at AFC R&D would like to wish Jake the very best of luck during his time at Kempston and we look forward to seeing him back in a Diamonds shirt again soon.
