Following a poll on AFCDiamonds.com, the winner of the January 2015 Player of the Month award is Jack Ashton. This is Jack’s third such award – the first player in AFC R&D history to achieve this “hat-trick” of awards.
During the month Jack played a pivotal role at the heart of the Diamonds defence, cementing a strong centre back partnership with Liam Dolman.
The award is sponsored by P.W. House Jewellers of Rushden, who are continuing a long tradition of sponsoring this award, going back many years with R&DFC. Their business has been part of life in Rushden High Street for the last 60 years.
The award was presented to Jack by Diamonds’ Manager Andy Peaks prior to the game against Huntingdon Town.
