Following a poll on AFCDiamonds.com, the winner of the January 2013 Player of the Month award is Sam Brown. During the month he continued to impress in the Diamonds defence, as well as getting forwards to support the Diamonds attacks, with his dead-ball kicks and throw-ins being part of the Diamonds attacking armoury.
The award is sponsored by P.W. House Jewellers of Rushden, who are continuing a long tradition of sponsoring this award, going back many years with R&DFC. Their business has been part of life in Rushden High Street for the last 60 years.
The award was presented by Diamonds’ Manager Mark Starmer after the game against Olney Town.
