AFC Rushden & Diamonds winger Joel Gyasi has decided to leave the club and join Bedford Town. He will play for them in the Southern League Division One Central (Step 4).
Manager Andy Peaks spoke to AFCDiamonds.com “I’m really disappointed to lose Joel, he was great for us last year and whilst he missed most of pre-season I felt he was just starting to find some form recently. Bedford made him a better offer and he has decided to drop down a level to take that. When players are looking to push themselves at a higher level they always go with my blessing and would always be welcome back.”
Since making his debut in October 2014, Joel has played 64 games in two spells for the club. This season he has made 9 appearances, playing in 5 of the Diamonds 8 league games.
