The board of AFC Rushden & Diamonds would like to place on record its debt of gratitude to Kempston Rovers for their help and support this summer.
As many of you will know, Diamonds had to agree a deal with Kempston Rovers to ground share whilst Hayden Road was brought up the FA Ground Grading Standard D.
Fortunately, for Diamonds, the grading was achieved just before the first game of the season, meaning that Diamonds only ever game with Hillgrounds as a home base, was the friendly versus Winslow United.
Despite this, the Kempston board were always on hand to offer any help and support that was needed.
To show our gratitude, Club Secretary, James Waller, presented a beer hamper kindly provided by Harts Family Brewers to his counterpart, Kevin Howlett, at Kempston Rovers before the recent League game at Hillgrounds. A small plaque will also be sent to Kempston Rovers as a lasting reminder of our thanks for their help and friendship in football.
