AFC Rushden & Diamonds make their first ever trip to Sergeant’s Lawn on Monday, as they look to mark an impressive debut season by progressing to the NSYL Knock-Out Cup Final.
The Diamonds actually met Rothwell Corinthians in their first ever game, a behind closed doors friendly at the Dog & Duck, consisting of three 30 minute thirds, with Rushden running out 5-4 victors. Corinthians play in the Eastern Division of the NSYL, and currently sit in 7th place in the table, however, they showed what they are capable of with an excellent 2-1 victory over title-chasing Peterborough Northern Star in the Quarter-Finals of the Knock-Out Cup.
Corinthians play in red and black, so the Diamonds will wear their white and blue home kit.
There is limited parking outside Sergeant’s Lawn, so Corinthians have kindly arranged FREE parking at the Montsaye Community College a short walk from the ground (please see map below for directions).
Parking along Desborough Road immediately outside the ground is reserved for disabled parking only.
The carpark (and ground) will be open from 6:30pm until 10:30pm, allowing supporters plenty of time for a pre-match/post-match drink in the clubhouse.
