Liam Dolman leaves the Club

The Club has today been advised that Club captain, Liam Dolman has left the Club. Liam joined AFC Rushden & Diamonds in 2014 and has decided that now is the right time to move on and find a new challenge within football.

Liam will be remembered for the 50 goals he scored, including a memorable 95th minute equaliser in The FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round at Barwell in October 2015 and more recently, a thunderstrike at Tamworth during the 2021/22 season.

First team manager, Andy Burgess, commented, “Liam has been fantastic for me since I came in, both on and off the pitch and he has been a magnificent servant for the football club over a number of years.

His input into the successes at the club and the individual moments of brilliance he has served up will live long in the memories of every supporter and he leaves the club with everyone’s best wishes.

Bully feels the time is right to move on and he leaves on great terms. He will rightly be considered an AFCRD legend and he can be extremely proud of his achievements in a Diamonds shirt.”

We wish Liam, and his family, the very best of luck for the future.
