Lutterworth Athletic v AFC Rushden & Diamonds XI
An AFC Rushden & Diamonds XI travel to Lutterworth to face Lutterworth Athletic on Wednesday evening. This game will also be a chance to see a mix of players, with some first teamers playing alongside others who may form the nucleus of the Diamonds U21 side. Note that this game has a 7pm kick off, and will be played on an alternative pitch on the far side of the clubhouse, as the main stadium pitch is not yet ready. There is no cover or seating for this alternative pitch, but the clubhouse will be open as normal.
The Athletic won promotion to the East Midlands Counties League for the 2012-13 season, and then switched to play in Division One of the United Counties League in 2013-14. They finished in 4th spot in UCL Division One last season – just one point behind promoted Rothwell Corinthians. Their club colours are green and white. Their website is here, and twitter feed here.
Hall Park is to the north of Lutterworth, some distance from the town itself. The ground is around 35 miles from the Dog & Duck at Hall Park, Hall Lane, Bitteswell, Lutterworth LE17 4LN – directions here. There is a large car park at the ground.

This will be trialled during some of the pre-season games, including this one, and more details will follow nearer the start of the season proper.
