Macron Kit Renewal 2024 – 2027

AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce that the Club have agreed fresh terms with Macron, Europe’s leading match kit and teamwear brand, to continue as the Club’s main kit supplier in a deal running until the summer of 2027.

Following an extensive tender process which began in February and involved a large number of very reputable sportswear brands and providers, the decision to remain with Macron was unanimous, agreed by the full Board of Directors at AFC Rushden & Diamonds during a recent Board Meeting.

Chairman Rob Usher had this to say: “I’m really pleased that we’ve been able to agree new terms with Marcon, obtaining much better terms for the Club at a critical time. The two-stage tender process was very thorough and I will elaborate on this process to Part Owners in due course. Numerous brands were invited to tender or had indicated a willingness to be considered during the course of the last 12 months, but Macron’s commitment to supporting the Club with both lower cost prices and a substantial offer of commercial sponsorship, made the decision to continue relatively easy.”

“Alongside the financial element we value the continuity of business and strong relationship we have developed with the team at Macron Northamptonshire since we’ve been in post. The signing of a contract is unusual for us, but provides both sides with security and we look forward to continuing working together for mutual benefit.”

Jon Ward, owner of Macron Sports Hub Northamptonshire was equally pleased to continue the relationship into 2024/25 and beyond: “At Macron we are delighted to be able to continue our long term relationship to supply AFC Rushden & Diamonds, which will in turn allow us to continue to support the Club with a generous sponsorship package. We have worked hard to reduce the cost of custom replica shirts in particular which will provide the Club with a better margin on one of their larger merchandising revenue streams. With a fantastic end to the season we are excited to be part of the next chapter.”

The deal with Macron will see the Peter De Banke Terrace re-branded for the first time in a number of years, whilst retaining its name.

The Club will also shift to a three-year-cycle on playing kit, releasing one new kit per season rather than two one year and one the next. This means that the Club’s current away kit will continue to run into 2024/25, with a new home shirt being released this summer. Supporters can expect three options to be revealed ahead of a Part Owners’ vote in the coming days.
