Our visitors
Coalville Town have been in existence since 1926 when they were founded as Ravenstone Miners Athletic. They moved through Leicestershire leagues and eventually moved to nearby Coalville in 1995 when their Ravenstone home could not be upgraded. They joined Midland Alliance and Northern Premier Leagues before being moved to the Southern League Division Central in 2018. Their standout periods include reaching the first round of the FA Cup in their very first season in the competition (2004) losing 1-0 to Wycombe Wanderers, and winning the Midland Alliance in 2010/2011 scoring an incredible 153 goals.
They play at the Mander Cruickshanks Solicitors Stadium, and the Ravens are currently managed by Adam Stevens. They finished 3rd in the league last season (W23 D9 L8 F86 A47) but, after defeating Rushall in the play-off semi-finals, they were defeated 2-0 by Peterborough Sports in the final.

Last time out
Diamonds won 2-1 at Barwell to register their first league win of the campaign and to lift themselves off the foot of the table. They led 2-0 through goals from Miguel Ngwa and Nathan Hicks before a late goal from Brady Hickey sparked some late pressure, but they held on for a crucial success.
In their last match Coalville recovered from 2-0 down to defeat Hednesford 3-2 at home.
The season so far
Coalville currently sit 3rd in the Southern League Premier Central table after winning five, drawing one and losing two. They hold a 100% away record so far with victories at Rushall (0-3), Mickleover (2-4) and Tamworth (1-4).
Diamonds currently sit second-from-bottom after Saturday’s victory and are only three points from safety.
Meetings between the clubs
Eight clashes between the two have seen plenty of goals. Diamonds were the 3-1 victors in the first match in October 2018, with Coalville gaining revenge the following April with a 5-0 demolition. Coalville won the following three clashes, with Diamonds getting one back in a 2-1 win in August 2021. Coalville knocked Diamonds out of the FA Cup a few weeks later before the reverse league fixture saw a 2-2 draw towards the end of last season.
