Diamonds travel to Alvechurch on Saturday (20th August, 3:00 pm kick-off) for their second away match of the 2022/23 Pitching In Southern League Premier Central.

Our hosts
They play at Lye Meadow (B48 7RS) and finished 5th in the league last season, pipping Diamonds to the final play-off spot on the last day of the season by courtesy of goal difference. They went on to lose in the semi-final to eventual play-off winners Peterborough Sports.
The Church are managed by Ian Long and currently sit 14th in the table after an opening day win at home to Stourbridge (3-0) before back-to-back away defeats at Coalville (4-1) and Bromsgrove Sporting (3-1).

Season so far
Diamonds currently occupy 21st place after drawing their opening game 0-0 at home to Needham Market, before a late 2-1 defeat at league newcomers Basford and a 1-2 reverse at home to Hitchin last time out.
