AFC Rushden & Diamonds take on S&L Corby in their second Jaymann Shield group game, knowing that victory would give them a great chance of progressing to the Semi-Finals.
S&L Corby play in the Eastern Division of the Northants Senior Youth League and are enjoying a strong league campaign, currently sitting in 3rd place with one game left to play. They are the second highest scorers in the league with an impressive haul of 41 goals from their 15 games, and have two of the division’s leading scorers in their ranks; Macauley McBride and Jon Dean, both with 9 goals to their name.
This is the Diamonds’ last game before the NSYL Knock Out Cup Final on Wednesday 18th April, so they will be looking to continue their impressive run of victories which now spans 9 competitive games, but most importantly to come through with a fully fit squad to choose from for the Final.
Rushden will wear their white and blue home kit, with the visitors playing in maroon and amber.
