Matt Gearing reached a notable landmark in both his career and in the history of AFC Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday when he became the second player to play their 100th game for the club.
Following in the footsteps of Sam Brown, the first Diamonds player to achieve this feat, Matt reached the 100 appearance milestone when he joined the action in the Diamonds game against Deeping Rangers on Saturday 7th February 2015.

The 28-year old attacking midfielder then played a major part in the Diamonds strong first season at Step 5 level, playing in 44 games and scoring 17 goals which helped him pick up two player of the month awards as well as the fans’, manager’s and players’ Player of the Season award for the 2013-14 season.
He has played a further 29 games this season to complete his Diamonds’ century.
