A few eagle-eyed fans visiting Hayden Road over the last few matches may have spotted that a bench has been placed to the right of the turnstiles on the grass where fans enter the ground. This bench has been generously donated by long-time Diamonds’ fan Tim Sams. We caught up with him to find out more:
Since we have been AFC Rushden & Diamonds (10 years), we have lost a few of our loved ones and friends of our club.
I thought that it would be a nice idea to remember them by erecting this bench and to ask if anyone would like their loved ones’ names to be added.
I would arrange to have a plaque made with their name on and you can place it anywhere on the bench.
