AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce that the Club has agreed a deal for energy supplier Rebel Energy to become the Club’s Main Sponsor for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season.
Commercial Director & Vice Chairman Alex Raspin commented: “Stepping in to this role a few weeks ago it was clear that the loss of the Club’s main shirt sponsor was having a really significant impact on the club financially. Looking for a main sponsor half-way through a season is a unique scenario and not one we hope to ever repeat, but it wasn’t something I was prepared to admit defeat on. I felt it represented a massive opportunity for a business to step in and help. Our Commercial Working Group met quickly to establish a price and package that we deemed fair and reasonable in such an unusual situation with half of the season gone. Rebel Energy not only agreed to the asking price, but also offered to include some mutually beneficial add-ons as part of the deal, to ensure the partnership continues to benefit the Club both immediately and throughout the rest of the season.”
Alex continued: “Rebel Energy’s brand and mission – dedicating themselves to ending fuel poverty and restoring the planet – is both very appropriate in the current economic climate, but also something I feel aligns with the values of our community club. It’s a company I’m delighted to get behind and I’m equally delighted that they’ve chosen to help us in our hour of need.”

The Club acknowledges that many supporters will have already purchased their replica kit for the 2022/2023 season with the name of the old shirt sponsor still emblazoned on it. We can confirm that we have partnered with Macron Kettering to offer printing of the Rebel Energy logo on to the playing kit with a heat-press. There is a cost associated with this, which the Club will cover. As a result, it’s free to supporters.
