AFC Rushden & Diamonds are pleased to announce the signing of 25-year-old defender Aaron Dickens from Spartan South Midlands League Division One side Moulton FC.
Aaron lists Coventry Alvis, Heather St. John’s, ON Chenecks and Daventry Town amongst former clubs and has featured for the Club as a trialist in the recent friendlies against Hitchin Town and Lutterworth Athletic, assisting the winner in the former. Equally capable on either side of the defence, as shown in his superb display at Hitchin a week ago, Aaron was an almost ever-present for Moulton last year as the Magpies narrowly missed out on promotion, scoring 3 times in 34 appearances.
Having been with the Club since the start of pre-season, Michael Harriman moved quickly to get pen to paper for his latest signing: “I’m delighted to get Aaron in with us this year. He has impressed in the early stages of pre-season with his work rate and hunger to improve. He can operate on both sides of defence and that versatility will be important. He has the drive to go forward and get up and down as and I’m excited to see what he can do this season.”
