AFC Rushden & Diamonds are pleased to announce the signing of Daniel Grainger.
Dan is a 26-year old midfielder who Diamonds fans may remember from his days with R&DFC, notably when he scored his only goal for the club – a stunning volley past Billy Turley against Brian Talbot’s Oxford United. After leaving R&DFC, Dan initially had a short spell with Corby Town, before joining Wellingborough Town, but injury limited his appearances. He took time out to gain his Level 2 coaching badges and has been a staff member with the Arsenal Soccer Schools. He returned to Wellingborough Town but spent the latter part of 2008 out again with an injury, before returning to action in January 2009. Daniel signed for fellow UCL side Thrapston Town in July 2011, but last season he took time out to further his education.
Dan’s signing follows the signings of Fazel Koriya, Nat Liburd and Russ Dunkley announced previously.
