AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce the signing of 24-year-old forward Jamal Adams from Midland Football League Premier Division side Studley FC.
On the Club’s radar for the last few months, Jamal has appeared, and impressed, in the Club’s past two friendlies, scoring the opening goal against Daventry Town on Saturday under the guise of ‘Trialist 11’. Good in the air, a willing runner in behind and a nightmare for defenders, Jamal is a proven goalscorer at Step 5, contributing 15 goals for Coventry United last season in 33 appearances, before moving on to Studley FC for the final month of the campaign. Jamal was also part of Coventry Sphinx’s United Counties League Premier Division South title winning side of 2022/23.
Manager Michael Harriman wasted little time in tying Jamal down for the 2024/25 season, and had this to say: “I’m really happy to be able to bring Jamal into the group. He adds a different dynamic for us in forward areas. He can hold the ball up and has the strength to bring others into play, but also has the ability to get in behind. He’s got himself in to some great areas in the last couple of days and clearly, he has an eye for goal. Overall a fantastic addition to the Club as we close in on the start of the new season.”
