New Signing / Squad Update

AFC Rushden and Diamonds are delighted to announce the signing of Jason Turner from Wellingborough Town FC. Jason is well-known as a successful striker, netting 30 goals in 36 appearances for the Doughboys last season.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds manager Andy Peaks commented “I think the club has shown its ambitions and the direction it’s heading by keeping the majority of the players that brought such a successful first season at Step 5. Personally, I am delighted to sign Jason Turner – he will be a fantastic addition to the squad. Jason is someone I have known and admired for a while – he has qualities that will strengthen our chances of success, he’s a prolific goal scorer and has been part of squads who have won the league on two occasions.”

The following players are no longer with the club:

  • Scott Joseph – Scott is unfortunately unable to re-sign for the club due to family reasons.
  • Adam Whybrow – Adam is seeking first team football at a club closer to his home.
  • Alfie Taylor – Alfie’s contract has expired following his loan spell at Burton Park Wanderers. The one year option to retain his services has not been exercised by club.
  • Ryan Walker – Ryan has returned to Stamford following his short spell at the club on dual-registration terms.
