New Signings Confirmed

AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to confirm the recent signings of five new players for the run in of the 2011/12 season.

Former Rushden & Diamonds academy player Anthony Ottaway (below left) signed in early March, and made his competitive debut as a substitute in the 2-1 victory over Northampton Spencer. The left winger has since made a second substitute appearance in the Jaymann Shield win over Rothwell Corinthians, and also appeared in the friendlies against Irchester and Yaxley.

Right winger Harry May (below centre) caught the eye with two goals and a Man of the Match performance in the friendly win over Yaxley, and was awarded with a starting place in the Jaymann Shield game against Rothwell Corinthians. He impressed once again, setting up both of the Diamonds’ goals, and then added another assist to his name in the 4-0 league win over Olney Town.

Jake Reynolds (below right) was another who impressed in the Yaxley friendly, netting the opening goal in that game, and subsequently left Kettering Town to join the Diamonds. The striker also made his competitive debut against Rothwell Corinthians in the Jaymann Shield, bagging the winning goal and the Man of the Match award to boot. He came off the bench to set up James Harrison for his fourth goal against Olney Town last week.

Midfielder Noah Bryant was another who impressed in the 3-2 friendly victory over Yaxley, and signed for the club following his second half performance in that game. He is yet to make a competitive appearance for the club, but was an unused substitute in the Jaymann Shield game against Rothwell Corinthians.

The final signing is David ‘Mozza’ Roberts, a goalkeeper who also signed following the friendly against Yaxley. Like Noah Bryant, Roberts is yet to make his competitive debut, but was also an unused substitute against Rothwell Corinthians.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds would like to welcome the players to the club, and wish them the very best for their time with us.

In other squad news, Ryan Ellmer (11 appearances), Dan Paterson (1 appearance) and Adam Batten (2 apperances) have parted company with the club. We would like to thank all three players for their efforts this season, and wish them the very best of luck for the future.
