AFC Rushden & Diamonds sponsor Hair by Michael Franks has sponsored Justin Edinburgh at Newport County in recognition for all he did for RDFC.
Hair by Michael Franks requested whether AFC Rushden & Diamonds would be interested in associating themselves at no cost to the club with the sponsorship which we were only too happy to do.
On saturday Darryl from Hair by Michael Franks and longtime Diamonds fan along with Jon from AFC R&D travelled to Newport to watch their FA Cup match against Shrewsbury. Afterwards they managed to grab a quick chat with Justin who wished everyone at AFC R&D all the very best of luck.
We would like to thank Newport County for their kind words in support of AFC R&D, all those we spoke with connected with the Newport offered advice and assistance as they have been in a similar situation themselves having gone out of business in 1988.They were subsequently forced to play their home matches 200 miles away in Gloucestershire. It just proves what can be achieved with hard work and determination.
