This Saturday has been recognised as “Non-League Day” by the various levels of the Football Pyramid below the Football League / Premier League. The aim of Non-League Day is to raise awareness of the Non-League game, especially to those who normally watch their football in the EFL or EPL.
On Saturday the Diamonds are hosting AFC Hornchurch in the Emirates FA Cup, a game governed by FA rules concerning admission prices. To recognise Non-League Day, given these constraints, the club has decided to offer all those aged under 16 attending the game a free ice-cream. They will be able to collect a voucher as they enter the turnstile and then redeem it at a designated point.
