Following a poll on AFCDiamonds.com, the winner of the November 2012 Player of the Month award is Jake Newman. During the month he scored in all four games, including the UCL Cup and FA Vase games as well as two UCL games. With the injuries to Alfie Taylor and Deven Ellwood he linked up with Ben Morgan and between them they netted nine goals during the month.
The award is sponsored by P.W. House Jewellers of Rushden, who are continuing a long tradition of sponsoring this award, going back many years with R&DFC. Their business has been part of life in Rushden High Street for the last 60 years.
The award was presented by Diamonds Manager Mark Starmer before the New Years’ Day game against Northampton Spencer – the Diamonds first home game since November.
