Following a poll on AFCDiamonds.com, the winner of the October 2013 Player of the Month award is Alfie Taylor. Alfie picks up the monthly award following his memorable goal against Dover Athletic, as well as his late brace against Northampton Sileby Rangers, which contributed to his total of five goals during the month.
The award is sponsored by P.W. House Jewellers of Rushden, who are continuing a long tradition of sponsoring this award, going back many years with R&DFC. Their business has been part of life in Rushden High Street for the last 60 years.
The award was presented by Diamonds’ Manager Mark Starmer before the game against Cogenhoe United on Saturday afternoon.
