Player news – One in and one out

AFC Rushden & Diamonds can announce that Connor Kennedy will be joining the club on a month’s loan from Corby Town.

Connor who plays as a full back on either side has featured against the Diamonds for  Desborough Town, Stewarts & Lloyds and Corby Town. He has previously played for Thrapston Town and Kettering Town along with a loan spell at Daventry this season.

Making the switch the other way is centre back Edi Appleton who rejoins Corby following his brief spell at the club.

Manager Andy Peaks said “I have always been an admirer of Connor and am delighted to get him here on loan, with regard to Edi, he feels he has some unfinished business at Corby and i would never stand in any player’s way to play at a higher level, so we thank him for his efforts of the last few weeks.”

Connor will join the squad for tomorrow’s fixture against Egham providing all the final paperwork is completed.
