Following a poll on AFCDiamonds.com, the Player of the Month for October 2018 is Declan Rogers.
The award is sponsored by P.W. House Jewellers of Rushden, who are continuing a long tradition of sponsoring this award, going back many years with R&DFC. Their business has been part of life in Rushden High Street for the last 65 years, having been Rushden’s Family Jewellers for over 70 years.
Declan was presented with his award prior to the Diamonds home game against Bedworth United, and is pictured here along with the Diamonds Community U12s team.
Declan wins the award shortly after rejoining the club, and he marked his return with spectacular long-range goals at Needham Market and Kings Lynn as well as netting with a precise finish in the game at home against Coalville Town, and seeing the opposition keeper producing a fine save to prevent him increasing his goal tally.
