24/01/16: AFC Rushden & Diamonds are pleased to announce that they have signed 23-year-old striker Nabil Shariff, who joins the Club from Daventry Town, subject to certain registration formalities.

Diamonds fans will remember Nabil from his impressive appearances for R&DFC in the 2010-11 season, when he made his league debut, initially with a number of substitute appearances, and after he had opened his goalscoring account he was given a first league start in April 2011, scoring three goals in his first two full games in the North East. He started the final game played by R&DFC.
Originating from Milton Keynes, he joined the Diamonds Centre of Excellence at the start of his Under 14 year, working through the ranks to Conference level. Since leaving R&DFC he has played for a number of clubs, including spells with Tamworth, Banbury United, Corby Town and Stamford.
Commenting on the signing, Diamonds manager Andy Peaks advised “I’m delighted Nabil has joined, we had a look at each other in pre-season but I had my striking options sorted and Nabil joined Daventry where he has played really well and scored frequently at the same level. Obviously the fans will remember him when he was on fire in the Conference and I have no doubt he has a massive part to play in the clubs future”.
Nabil has missed the last couple of games at Daventry due to a chest infection, and has since reported on 24th January that he expected to be ready to play three weeks after that date.

03/11/17: AFC Rushden & Diamonds striker Nabil Shariff has advised the Club that he has accepted an offer from Alfreton Town to join them and play for them in the National League North (Step 2). Diamonds Manager Andy Peaks commented on the news – “Nabil has been fantastic for the club, and we are sorry to lose him, but I can understand him wanting to play at a higher level, Alfreton made him an offer that we couldn’t match and he couldn’t refuse. I am sure I will keep in touch and wish him all the best for the future.” Since making his debut in April 2016, Nabil has played 73 games for the club, including 57 league games, scoring 40 goals. This season he has scored 14 goals in 18 appearances.
11/11/19: AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce the signing of Nabil Shariff from Stratford Town. Nabil rejoins the Club following a successful spell between 2016 and 2017 when he scored 40 goals in 73 appearances. Manager Andy Peaks said “It’s great to have Nabil back at the Club, he left for all the right reasons in 2017 and we have kept in touch over the last couple of years and I have almost signed him one or two times over that period, however it just didn’t work out for one reason or the other. We all know what he brings to the team and I can’t wait to see him involved.” Nabil will be available for selection for tomorrow night’s fixture against Yaxley FC.
