05/11/24: AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce the signing of 18-year-old attacking midfielder Romeo Ingman from United Counties League Premier Division South side Bugbrooke St. Michaels.
Romeo has had a blistering start to his first season in senior football for the Badgers having progressed from their all-conquering youth team that also featured fellow-Diamond Levon Stewart. Romeo has hit 5 goals in his first 16 appearances at Step 5 and will be looking to continue this impressive form with the Diamonds at Step 4. As part of the agreement, Bugbrooke will retain Ingman’s United Counties League registration.
Diamonds’ Assistant Manager Dan Porter commented: “We’re delighted to have Romeo join us as we head in to a very busy period of games. He’s clearly had an excellent start to his debut season in men’s football and has attracted a lot of interest so we’re really pleased to be able to get him through the door here. We’ve been keeping an eye on him for a while now and had him watched, he’s impressed us with his performances. He’s an energetic midfielder who is great on the ball and has an eye for goal. We look forward to seeing what he can do at this level in the coming weeks.”
Romeo Ingman is available for selection for this evening’s tie in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands against Hinckley Leicester Road.
06/01/25: The Club can confirm that after a brief stay, Romeo Ingman has opted to depart Hayden Road in search of regular football. All the best, Romeo! 💎
