Potbelly Brewery supporting Non-League Day and our Oktoberfest Evening Event

As part of Non-League Day and the Oktoberfest evening event on Saturday 12th October the club are delighted local micro-brewery Potbelly Brewery will be supplying two of their top real ales.

The Match Day real ale in Dales Bar will be the Brewery’s best seller Potbelly Best (ABV 3.8%). Brewed using a mixture of 4 different Malts together with Goldings hops to give a traditional Chestnut coloured Bitter.

Potbelly Best will also be on sale in the bar during the Oktoberfest evening event.

To get in the Oktoberfest mood in the evening, we are delighted our friends Potbelly Brewery are supplying their traditional Lager Brau Beer (3.9% ABV). A beer brewed using Lager Malt, Lager Hops, and a different strain of yeast to give a genuine lager taste without the gas! Golden and refreshing.

The real taste of Bavaria brought to Rushden for the evening!

Potbelly Brewery was started 2005 in a leather goods factory in the heart of Kettering.

The first beer brewed was called Aisling which was a golden 4.0% lightly hopped. To compliment this light delicate ale, Potbelly Best was introduced using four different malts, and Goldings hops to give a traditional flavoured. The Brewery now has ten different ales available at any time, including a certified gluten free beer called “Piggin Saint”.

Things have changed greatly in the last 12 years; a great many pubs and clubs have sadly shut, and many more micro-breweries have been born. With the trend going towards micro pubs, and real craft ale bars, the interest in beers has increased dramatically. Under the recent management of brewer lan Loasby, and colleague Greg Johnson, Potbelly Brewery continue to promote traditional, and consistent methods, hops water yeast and occasionally real fruit.
