Our Opponents
Crawley Green FC play in the Spartan South Midlands League Division 1, which is a Step 6 league – the same level as Division 1 of the UCL – focused on the area immediately north of London. They hail from the Luton area, near to Luton Airport, being based at the Crawley Green Sports and Social Club along with a well respected youth setup with opportunities for all ages in a Charter Standard Community Club.
The club was formed after a number of local teams joined together to buy a facility in the late 1980’s from the council that had previously been affected by a fire. The new facility was opened in 1992 by Luton Town manager David Pleat – and the Rams continue to have strong ties with Luton Town. They are currently managed by Mark Smith and assistant Terry Shrieves.
Ex-Diamonds Youth team player Callum Reynolds played in the Crawley Green youth system before joining the setup at Rushden & Diamonds and then moving on to Portsmouth and then his home-town club Luton Town before moving to Basingstoke Town and then Tamworth.
