AFC Rushden & Diamonds travel to Cogenhoe United on Thursday night for their fourth consecutive away league fixture. Since losing their first game of the season 3-2 at Kempston Rovers, the Cooks have embarked on a four match winning run which has seen them rise to the top of the Northants Senior Youth League Western Division, overtaking the Diamonds who now sit in second place. During their impressive run, Cogenhoe have scored a further 24 goals, a third of them coming in last week’s 8-1 drubbing of bottom club Olney Town. They have conceded 7 during that period though, 10 now in total, so that should give the Rushden strikers some confidence going into the game, especially following the emphatic 7-0 Boys U18s Cup victory over Vicarage Farm at the weekend.
