AFC Rushden & Diamonds travel to bottom of the table Olney Town for their next game, the last before the 3 week Christmas break. Olney are the only side the Diamonds have not yet faced this season, and are currently enduring a difficult campaign having won only one of their 10 games to date, losing 8 of them. Although they have scored more league goals than AFC R&D, their problems appear to be in defence with 43 goals conceded, comfortably the worst record in the division.
The match will be the Nurserymen’s first in the Northants Senior Youth League since November 17th, when they were defeated 5-2 at home to Daventry Town.
Olney Town play in black and white stripes, so the Diamonds will wear their yellow away strip.
