AFC Rushden & Diamonds are delighted to announce that both 18-year-old forward Isaac Redding and 21-year-old wide player Pierre Ngolo have signed first team forms with the Club ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Having been involved with the Moulton Scholarship programme, Isaac has already cemented himself in to AFC R&D folklore by scoring the winning penalty against Kettering in the Hillier Senior Cup Final in May, in what was his second first team appearance. He also scored the winning penalty against Peterborough United U23’s on his senior debut in the Hillier Senior Cup Semi Final. Prolific in junior football, Isaac spent the majority of the 2023/24 season with Wellingborough Whitworth at Step 6, scoring 10 goals in 21 league matches before spending the latter part of the season at Step 5 with Daventry Town, making 6 appearances.
Like Isaac, Pierre made his debut for the Club with a standout performance against Peterborough United U23 and featured off the bench in May’s Hillier Senior Cup Final victory against Kettering Town. Pierre is part of the Club’s Moulton Scholarship programme and moved to the programme from Leatherhead’s U23 squad, but has had exposure in men’s football over the past two years, featuring for both Moulton FC and Raunds Town at Step 6 in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One.
Both players have appeared for the Club during pre-season and are available for selection for this weekend’s trip to Corby Town in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.
Isaac Redding has been sponsored for the 2024/25 season, but Pierre Ngolo is available for sponsorship. Please contact Alex Raspin on alex.raspin@afc-diamonds.com if you are interested in sponsoring Pierre.
