AFC Rushden & Diamonds are absolutely thrilled to advise supporters that Ryan Hughes has re-signed for the Club ahead of the 2024/25 season. As Diamonds fans will know, Ryan suffered a very unfortunate injury a year ago during pre-season, an injury which kept him out for the entirety of the 2023/24 campaign. Having joined the Club initially on loan from Northampton Town in 2019, Ryan became a mainstay in the Diamonds defence and will be hoping to reach a century of appearances for the Club this season.
Ryan commented: “I’m delighted to be back at the Club for another season. Last year was a tough one for me with my injury but the support from the manager, players and the fans has been incredible. Looking forward to the start of the season and playing in front of the fans again and hopefully we can give them plenty to be excited about.”
