These five away games have followed the single home league game that the Diamonds have played (out of the 18 scheduled league games at the Dog & Duck).

Saturday’s game will be preceded by a 1 minute’s silence in memory of Rushden & Higham United’s long serving Secretary, Chris Ruff, who sadly passed away on Thursday following a short illness. AFC Rushden & Diamonds would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincerest condolences to Chris’ family and friends, and all at Rushden & Higham United.
Our Opponents
Rushden & Higham United FC was founded in 2007 with the merger of Higham Town FC and Rushden Rangers. Higham Town history goes back to 1875, but in 2007 they merged with Rushden Rangers, moving to Hayden Road and upgrading the ground for UCL level football.
The Lankies club website is here. They are currently managed by ex-R&DFC midfielder Aidy Mann, They play in Orange and Black.
This will be the first meeting between the two sides. The teams did not meet in the R&DFC era either, so it will be the first opportunity for a side representing Rushden & Diamonds to play a senior game in Rushden.

There are details on how to become a member of AFC R&D here, as well as news on Season Tickets, Multiple Game Tickets and related prices here. Fans might like to note that because of the proliferation of cup games during September, and the early season scheduling of away games, the Diamonds have only played one of their planned 18 League games at home so far this season – so buying a the Season Ticket can still represent good value for the remaining planned games.
