AFC Rushden & Diamonds striker Russ Dunkley is one of three nominations for the Budweiser Player of the Round for the FA Cup with Budweiser First Preliminary Round.
Fans are invited to vote for the player who they feel put in the best performance in this round of the competition, with voting details on the FA Website here. Voting is easy with no registration required.
Diamonds fans will be aware that Russ scored in both games against Cockfosters in the First Preliminary Round. On Saturday he scored the vital goal that secured the replay at the Dog & Duck, and then on Tuesday evening he became the Diamonds record goalscorer for a single game when he scored 5 goals in the 8-0 victory (almost uniquely all with his head). He also played a part in several of the other goals scored in the tie. His feats meant he was chosen to be on the three-man shortlist for the award, which includes a trophy and an invitation to the FA Cup Final
Russ is competing with players from Hendon and Scarborough Athletic for the award. He was nominated by FA Historian David Barber.
The voting continues until midday on Tuesday 24th September.
