Sleaford Town v AFC Rushden & Diamonds

AFC Rushden & Diamonds travel to the Lincolnshire on Saturday to face Sleaford Town at Eslaforde Park, in the ChromaSport and Trophies UCL Premier Division.

There is a clubhouse bar on site and the club have arranged additional catering for the game, with an on-site Barbeque. The ground and clubhouse are open from before noon on Saturdays.  There is a large car park for over 100 cars, and the club advise drivers to avoid coming through the Town Centre as it gets extremely busy on a Saturday.

Our Opponents

Sleaford Town FC was formed in 1968, and after a period in Lincolnshire Leagues they joined the UCL in 2004. They were promoted to the UCL Premier in 2007.

The Town play in green shirts and black shorts, and are managed by Kris Jones. Further details about the club can be found on their website here. Their Twitter feed is here.

The two teams met at the Dog & Duck back in August, with the Diamonds winning that game 5-1 – report here. Since then the Greens have had a rather mixed season, but they came within a few seconds of being the first UCL team to take a point off Spalding United in their game earlier in the month.

The Sleaford Town website has comprehensive details for finding the ground here.
