Spalding United v AFC Rushden & Diamonds

AFC Rushden & Diamonds make another trip to Lincolnshire on Saturday when they travel to face table-topping Spalding United at Sir Halley Stewart Field, in the ChromaSport and Trophies UCL Premier Division. The Tulips are on a winning run this season of seventeen UCL games, and will be looking to extend this run as they attempt to match or beat the record set by Wisbech Town of nineteen consecutive UCL wins within a UCL season – so the Diamonds will be looking to end this run. They were unfortunate to be removed from the FA Vase shortly before the third round, after unknowingly fielding an ineligible player in the previous round.

The Tulips Social Club is located just inside the ground, and serves drinks and snacks. The Tulips advise that given the central location of the ground within the town there is parking available within easy walking distance of the stadium with some Pay & Display facilities located directly opposite the ground (£1.30 per day). There is also some limited free parking in West St and Kings Street, but please note that this free parking is limited to three hours during peak times. Full details of parking charges and parking locations are here, with a map here.

Regular admission prices at Spalding are £6 adults, £4 concessions with children under 12 free if accompanied by a paying adult.

They rejoined the UCL from the Northern Premier League Division One South in 2011.
