The Club would like to provide an update to supporters on the injury status of various players ahead of this weekend’s matches against Gresley Rovers and Corby Town on Saturday and Monday respectively.
Ryan Hughes
Fans will be aware that Ryan Hughes suffered a broken leg during the friendly against Histon last month. Whilst the operation was successful and Ryan is recovering well, clearly this is a significant injury and we expect Ryan to be absent for a minimum of 6 months. We will keep supporters updated on his progress.
Will Jones
Will suffered a tear in his groin in the opening exchanges of our league match away at Spalding on 15th August. It was clear immediately that this wasn’t a minor issue and also with issues of this nature, it can be difficult to put an accurate timescale on a return. The initial prognosis is that Will will be missing for a period of between 6-12 weeks but again, he is making good progress.
Michael Harriman
Michael Harriman had a minor issue with his quad muscle immediately after half-time at Fakenham Town. However as we had used all of our substitutions, he remained on the field of play and completed the match. Michael was left out of the squad that faced Bedworth United this past Tuesday night, but is expected to be available for selection again for this weekend’s matches.
Joe Sutton
Joe suffered a broken nose outside of footballing activities last weekend and as a result was unavailable for selection against Bedworth United on Tuesday. We expect him to be available for this weekend’s fixtures, however he might be sporting a face mask!
Tom Lorraine
Tom has been suffering with a knee issue for the last few weeks which has prevented him starting matches. We have been managing the situation as best we can and Tom has impressed in recent appearances from the substitutes bench. We hope to have him in a position whereby he can contribute from the start very soon.
Oliver Raymond
Oli Raymond is yet to kick a ball in anger for the First Team after picking up a muscle issue on the day of our first pre-season friendly at Real Bedford back at the beginning of July. Oli was this week given the all clear to resume full-training and as a result, is back in contention for a place in the squad. Given Oli’s lack of minutes, we will have to be careful with him but as he’s part of the Moulton Scholarship programme, we are confident that he will up to speed very quickly and when he does, he’ll be like a new signing!
Ben Gough
Ben sustained a knee injury during his only pre-season appearance against Wellingborough Town at the Dog & Duck. Like Oli, Ben has now been able to rejoin the squad for training but isn’t yet at the stage of being available for selection.
Kodi Briggs
The Club can confirm that Kodi Briggs has joined Daventry Town on a dual-registration basis to get some minutes. We wish Kodi well and look forward to welcoming him back to the squad in the future.
