Stacey

We often talk about our Diamonds legends on the pitch but prior to Saturday’s home match against Royston Town we said happy retirement and goodbye to a true legend of the Club off the pitch.  As spoken of by other volunteers, Rob Lee says: “Stace is more than a fixture, she represents the life blood of our Club” and described by Lorraine Brown as: “always a friendly face around the ground”.

Stacey was a volunteer for a number of Seasons at the old Club being involved in several committees.  Stace was instrumental in the setting up of the new Club as the Under-18s and as we know, has been heavily involved in AFC Rushden & Diamonds as a Board member for 11 years and as Secretary for the last 5 years.

Her energy, knowledge, and experience of the ‘workings’ of the Club has helped us through the good times.  However, in the weeks before the EGM and election of the current Board it was that knowledge and experience that ensured that the Club remained functional.  Working long days and sometimes late into the evening, this dedication to the Club she loves, should never be underestimated.

The current Board also thanks Stacey for her support, knowledge and experience given as we learnt how to run a Club.

On behalf of everybody at AFC Rushden & Diamonds, we would like to thank Stacey for her long-standing dedication to our Club.
