AFC Rushden & Diamonds are saddened to learn of the passing of Steve Whitney.
Steve was instrumental in the formation of the U18 team that represented AFC Rushden & Diamonds in the Northants Senior Youth League in 2011/12, assisting Mark Starmer.
Mark then helped to form the Club’s Academy, which is of course still running, and flourishing, to this day.
Rest in peace, Steve.
