The work of Supporters Direct has been essential in creating 40 supporter owned clubs in the U.K with each club set up on the principle of delivering community benefit before a ball is even kicked.
Between the 11th and 18th April 2015, they will be celebrating Supporter Ownership Week. They will be running a series of events, and showing how they make supporter ownership happen at a club, how supporter owned clubs work, and bringing the stories of the people who make it possible.
AFC Rushden & Diamonds is a Supporter Owned club, and will be directly supporting this initiative in a number of ways, which include publicity of the “Crowdfunder Campaign” at the forthcoming home games against Wellingborough Town on 11th April and Newport Pagnell on 18th April, as well as on this website here. The Diamonds Team will be wearing the publicity t-shirts during their warm-up on Saturday, and fans are also being encouraged to take part in the “Fan Footage” initiative as detailed in the attached flyer which will also be published in the match programme.
