AFC Rushden & Diamonds are thrilled to announce the launch of the Club’s First Annual Teddy Bear Toss, a heartwarming initiative aimed at supporting local ill and disadvantaged children. Inspired by the successful and visually stunning event held annually by Spanish football club Real Betis, this initiative invites fans to bring teddy bears (clean teddies that are in a nice enough state to re-gift) and soft toys to our home match against Darlaston Town on the 14th December.
At half-time, supporters will have the opportunity to toss their toys onto the pitch, filling the stadium with the festive spirit of giving. These donations will be gathered and distributed to children’s charities and local families in need, ensuring that more children in the Rushden area experience joy during the holiday season.
This initiative not only brings fans together for a good cause but also highlights AFC Rushden & Diamonds’ ongoing commitment to supporting the community. The Club looks forward to making this event an annual tradition and hopes to see the stands filled with enthusiastic supporters ready to give back in a fun and meaningful way.
