AFC Rushden & Diamonds travel to face Tividale FC in the First Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday 2nd September (KO 3pm).
Tividale is a Black Country town between West Bromwich and Dudley. Tividale FC play in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division which is a Step 6 league. Their ground address is The Beeches, Packwood Road, Tividale, Oldbury, West Midlands B69 1UL. Directions for the 77 mile trip from Rushden to The Beeches are here. Anyone considering using the M5 in the area might like to check the situation with the long-term roadworks on the Oldbury Viaduct.
The club is running a coach to this fixture – details here.
Tividale have provided some local directions from the M5, or directly from the A4123, and an annotated map, as follows: “The aerial photo below shows the route from off the A4123. The blue line with the arrow takes you to the ground, assuming you would come off the M5 at J2, follow signs for Wolverhampton A4123 and after a mile or two you’ll see a footbridge. Turn first left after the footbridge, and that’s Trafalgar Road. That’s where you pick up the blue line. If you go past that first cul-de-sac (Ash Terrace), then just turn at every first right you possibly can, and you will arrive at the ground.
“Parking is at a premium at and around The Beeches, so we would advise an early arrival if coming by car. Please park responsibly and with respect to our neighbours.
“Alternatively, the ground is served by the 126 bus route which drops off within a two minute walk to the ground, and leaves from both Birmingham and Wolverhampton city centres.”
Admission prices for this game are £5 adults / £3 concessions. The Diamonds are planning to wear their new third strip for this fixture.
