The United Counties League have now confirmed that the Knock-Out Cup Final between Potton United and AFC Rushden & Diamonds will be held on Bank Holiday Monday May 4th at Yaxley FC’s Leading Drove ground – Kick Off 3pm.
Although this date and venue was announced some while ago, the club has ensured it has been ratified between all parties involved before formal announcement.
The fact that this game is held at a neutral venue is defined in the cup rules thus: “Final Ties will be played on a neutral venue to be determined by the Board. All arrangements for the Final Ties shall be made by the Board.”
The administration / costs of the game will be the responsibility of the UCL, as the rules further state:“The League shall take the proceeds of the Final Ties and shall be responsible for meeting the expenses of the ties.”
The prices for this match will be £6 adults and £3 concessions.
